I’m a Canadian living in Berlin for over 10 years. When I’m not clogging up a table at La Maison on a random Thursday morning, I’ll be heading to the latest art exhibition, stalking some vintage designer shops or finding salvation on a dance floor.

Hello Berlin was born almost by accident.

Some years ago, a friend asked me for recommendations for their upcoming trip to Berlin. Naturally, I wrote them a lengthy reply.

But did that person even bother to say thank you?

Nope. Nothing. Nada.

Peak rudeness…but it got me thinking.

But their rudeness has become your gain.

Instead of making recommendations for one (sometimes ungrateful) human at a time, I’m sharing my Berlin wisdom with the world.

And voila! Hello Berlin was born.
