What Is Teufelsberg?
Teufelsberg is one of the most unique attractions in Berlin, Germany. The name translates to “Devil’s Mountain” in English, is a man-made hill in Berlin, Germany. Here’s a breakdown of its key features:

- Built from debris following World War II, it sits on top of the remains of an unfinished Nazi military college.
- During the Cold War, the buildings at the top housed a U.S. listening station. (Those are the signature round shapes at the top!)

- Popular spot for exploring the abandoned listening station with its Cold War relics and graffiti art.
- Offers stunning panoramic views of Berlin from its peak.
- Sometimes used as a venue for events.

What You Need To Know
Current Cost: €10 They take cards or cash. You can book ahead but it’s rarely busy.
There’s also a cafe/bar area with public washrooms. (Big bonus because they didn’t have this for a long time!)
Be prepared to take a lot of photos!
Most of Teufelsberg is outdoors and uncovered, so be sure to check the weather ahead of time!
Don’t be afraid of heights 🙃
When you get into one of the domes, try whispering to someone on the other side or tapping on various things to hear how the sound echoes across the space.
How To Get There
By transit, Teufelsberg is easy to access from central Berlin with the S-bahn S3, S5, or S9. Get out at the S-bahn stop Heerstr. Then expect a bit of a hike!
